Just came back to say you are missed and loved
1st May 2024
FEMOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, Aaaaaaaahhhh, aaaaaaaaaahhhh.......... Just like that? The rudest shock, was the news of your transition. It has left me bereft of words!!!! I remember you from being little, dropped off after school at ours where you'll play to your heart's satisfaction till mum picks you. You never missed birthdays and celebrations, Christmas was always preceded by both families bumping into each other at Leventis departmental store because Femi insists on buying gifts before visiting our home for an evening of carol and grills. I remember you insisted on only my mom calling you Akin.... "Akins the Akins "and you'd beam with smile. Next was the nick name Arondodos🤣🤣🤣. There was never a dull moment, always something to cheer even in the midst of sarcasm. You fit nicely into any setting without any airs. You were just you and lived on your terms. I remember you at the Royal Ambassadors with dad's favourite hymn... The king's business.... I remember you on the keyboard, choir rehearsals, youth meetings and all. I remember your high court judge and whistling daddy's name. I remember you as mummy's handbag. I remember your hearty laughter ooo and that laughter was infectious and belly rolling. I remember your love for God and service ... Arranging the house at Station road for service and having to share your space till the church moved to the permanent site. So many memories, heartfelt and treasured memories. At the king's command, It pleased Him to give us the gift of Akin and it has pleased him to call him home. We judge God faithful in all and submit to His eternal will with gratitude for a life of impact. My sincere. Condolences to Damiette, Tobi and Eniola. The lord will uphold you in his love. To my sister; Aunty Lola, Brothers; .. PST Deji and Bro Bunmi, a Ku Ara Fe ra Ku. Oluwa a Duro ti gbogbo wa. Odun a jina Sira. Amin. Mummy Fayoyin, words are insufficient but the God of all comfort will ease the burden and soothe the pain. Amen You are in my thoughts and prayers ma. Femi.... Sun re o. See you at the Resurrection. Salute our dads and the saints that have triumphed too.
